Keith and Peter
From Peter:
I believe this was the second place Josie and Keith lived before buying a house. It was a great apartment in Beverly Hills but the neighbors upstairs were very loud. Keith would call me often to say "dude I can hear them fooling around above us like they are in the same room, and she is loud." When I was visiting he and I spent sometime deciding how to confront them. Ultimately they moved and bought a beautiful home in the hills.

Peter, your story about the upstairs neighbors made me chuckle. Just before Keith moved into this apartment, I used to come into work and complain about how noisy my upstairs neighbors were. I would tell Keith the horror stories about them slamming doors at 2 in the morning. He would just sigh and say, "Mikey, you gotta learn to relax, my brutha." He told me I didn't understand apartment living, that I was spoiled by my California lifestyle, that people on the East Coast understood how noisy apartments could be.
But then he moved into this apartment, and he was utterly dismayed by how loud his neighbors were. They would clomp up and down the stairs at all hours, and they would play their TV or stereo so loud, you could hear it as though it were in the same room with you. Keith totally lost his cool, and I think he even had a little ongoing feud with his neighbors. He would come in to work after a particularly loud evening and lament his situation, and I would just smile and say, "Keithy, you gotta learn to relax, my brutha." He'd chuckle and say, "Very funny, very funny..."
